Our Story
HOW IT BEGINS
TUAN HUTAN is founded by Mejar (Retired) Mohd Fitri bin Shuib @ Ismail in 2020.
After servicing 25 years as a Malaysian Military Officer he had acquired specialised skills as a Sniper Instructor and Jungle Warfare Instructor. As an experienced survivor in the local forest, made him knowledgeable about natural sources from the forest.
His deep interest in the benefits of various kinds of traditional herbs that can cure illness and boost energy inspired him to venture into global business that focuses on natural remedies and herbal products. He worked closely with all the Tok Gurus to enhance his knowledge regarding natural ingredients. Being honoured with valuable knowledge and guidance that he received from Tok Gurus, has led him to develop TUAN HUTAN range of products.

Gunung Jerai (Mount Jerai)
The forest of Gunung Jerai mostly covered in old growth dipterocarp and upper mintane ericaceous forest along with several waterfalls that tumble down the mountain.
Gunung Jerai (Gunung means Mount in Malay) is a 1,217 meters high mountain on the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia. The mountain and its surroundings such as the Bujang Valley have a long history of human settlement, evidenced by many archaeological remains.
There are also many legends surrounding Mount Jerai, along with that other mountain peak in Peninsular Malaysia, Gunung Ledang or Moung Ophir which related to Prophet Sulaiman or the King Solomon’s legendary.

There are several attractions on Gunung Jerai, such as an old well called Telaga Tok Shiekh (Tok Shiekh Well). About halfway up the mountain and an open, lightly wooded area called Padang Tok Shiekh (Tok Shiekh Field) – both named after the prominent Muslim missionary during the Middle Ages.
